Abstract

Volcanic basalt rocks are collected from different chemical compound, that is dark colored and comparatively rich in iron and magnesium, which is located at almost every country in the world. This study examined two different basalt samples collected from different regions of Van province in Turkey. The dielectric dispersion properties of the some Basalt rocks coded Sample 1 and Sample 2 were analyzed in order to determine the parameters such as surface conductivity, dissipation factor and complex dielectric functions. Morphological analysis, particle size measurement and electrical impedance analyzer measurements were assessed in order to determine dielectric constant, dielectric loss, dielectric strength and relaxation time. The research has revealed that due to its high dielectric dissipation and factor high resistance, Sample 1 can be used a precious material in numerous industrial applications that involve electromagnetic shielding or electrostatic dissipation applications.
