dc.description.abstractPrecise positioning systems are designed globally or regionally according to the intended use. In addition to global systems such as GPS, GLONASS and Galileo, regional systems such as QZSS and NavIC are also available to provide solutions to local needs. The Quasi-Zenith satellite system is a regional satellite navigation system designed for the Asia Pacific region. It is aimed to improve the service capability of GPS in the Asia-Pacific region. The first satellite was launched in 2010 and three more were launched at different times. The QZS system is currently in service with 4 satellites, and it is planned to launch seven satellites by 2024. QZSS is designed to be compatible with GPS as it is planned to work in an integrated manner with GPS. In this study, information is given about the general characteristics of the Quasi-Zenith satellite system, its signal structure, purpose of use and the differences between it and other similar systems.en
