AN ANALYTICAL NETWORK PROCESS APPROACH TO THE CHOICE OF HOSPITAL LOCATION

Abstract

Facility location selection has a great importance in terms of the corporate efficiency and the profitability. In this kind of strategic decisions, decision makers should take into account the precedences and the interactions among various objectives and criteria. One of the multi criteria decision making techniques is analytic network process. Analytic network process provides to make realistic decisions due to the including each kind of interactions and feedbacks. It also gives the opportunity of the combining the qualitative and quantitative factors together. This technique has the ability of making consistent decisions when the number of alternatives or factors is enormous. In this study, Catalca, Sariyer and Zeytinburnu regions are evaluated in terms of the compatibility of construction a hospital by using analytic network process.
