The purpose of this study is to adapt the new version of Study Process Questionnaire (SPQ) to Turkish. The SPQ is a scale which is developed to be used by university students to specify their study processes as deep or surface learners. The Turkish form of the scale was administered to 400 university students for the validity and reliability analysis after examining and confirming equivalency between English and Turkish versions. In order to examine the validity and reliability properties of the questionnaire, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, Cronbach Alpha correlation coefficients, corrected item-total correlation, t-tests between items' means of upper 27%-lower 27% points were used. Results of these analyses show that the 20 item-scale has two factors which are deep approach and surface approach. The Cronbach alpha coefficients were 0.79 and 0.73. According to t-test results, differences between each item's means of upper 27% and lower 27% points are significant. According to the results, it is concluded that the Turkish version of SPQ is suitable for the Turkish university students.en
