Özet

Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs) are a treatment option that provides long-term mechanical circulatory support for patients with end-stage heart failure. However, the current LVAD control units do not allow remote monitoring of patient data or medical intervention when necessary. In this study, a portable control unit was developed that enables realtime monitoring of the patient (pulse, blood pressure) and pump (flow, rotational speed, current, and battery capacity) data in a remote and wireless environment through a designed website, provides alerts in emergency situations, and allows healthcare professionals to adjust the pump speed in real-time via the website. In tests conducted using two previously developed technologies (LVAD and Hybrid Mock Circuit), it was concluded that the developed portable unit has competitive clinical potential, and it was decided to proceed to in vivo (animal testing) performance tests.
