dc.description.abstractThe Galata district, which is one of the first settlements in Istanbul, has lost its unique architecture and urban texture due to radical changes after the 1950s. Therefore, a need of urban regeneration has emerged. In Istanbul, the concept of 'urban regeneration' has gained ground since the early 2000s. In this study, while considering five main criteria, five different urban regeneration strategies for the Galata district are prioritized via the VIKOR method. The weights of criteria are determined according to the judgements of multiple decision-makers.en
