FUZZY TOPSIS METHODS IN GROUP DECISION MAKING AND AN APPLICATION FOR BANK BRANCH LOCATION SELECTION

Abstract

This study's goal is to provide a decision support model in order to help a bank selecting the most appropriate city for opening a branch among six alternatives in the South Eastern of Turkey. In the proposed decision support model, because of the fuzziness of the evaluation process, the fuzzy TOPSIS method which allow to make decisions using intervals is applied in its two different algorithms. At the end of the study, according to the evaluations under the considered criteria. Diyarbakir is found out the best candidate city and it's observed that the ranking orders of candidate cities don't change in the examined methods.
