dc.description.abstractThis paper is concerned with vibration mitigation of a quarter car model using a semiactive magnetorheological (MR) damper. The mathematical model of the MR damper is used to predict the damping force based on the input of velocity, internal state and input voltage to the MR damper. A nonlinear observer is designed to estimate an internal state variable of the MR damper. Unknown parameters of the damper are obtained by adaptation rules.en
