dc.description.abstractThis study investigates parallel machine scheduling problem in order to minimize total tardiness and we developed a genetic algorithm solution procedure for such problems. Also, using problem specific knowledge, an efficient solution improvement scheme and an appropriate crossover operator are developed and integrated into the genetic algorithm.en
