Özet

Mut is one of the very few settlements in Turkey that have been able to survive with its characteristic features of vernacular architecture. The town was founded in 38BC and was named as Claudiopolis a Roman city and therefore buildings of Seljuk and Ottoman period can still be observed. In this paper, the settlement Mut will be analyzed as a traditional Turkish settlement between Central Anatolia and Mediterranean Regions with its unique architectural features. The vernacular architecture will be analyzed in its traditional and regional forms and characteristics.
