Comparison and determination the electrical motors which are used in electrical transportation systems

Abstract

In this paper the electrical motors which are used in electrical transportation systems are scrutinized one by one, determining motor's power and the parameters which are depend on the power are examined in detail by using computer programme. At last all types of motors are compared on the view of these conditions. While we are examining on the motors, we mainly thought d.c. series motor and it's operating characteristics. And we shortly mentioned the d.c. comitator motor which can be compared with the other's peculiarities. Also these works are made for induction motor and it's mentioned that induction motor's peculiarities and operating characteristics are available for electrical transportation systems. It is explained that linear motor enables electrical vehicles travel faster than any of the motor can do, how it's construction is different from the other's and it's operating characteristics. As a last motor type switched reluctans motors, which are popular nowadays are introduced. After finishing scrutinizing of electrical motors which can be used in the electrical transportation systems, we calculated the motors' power, compared them with each other and we marked the most available motor for the electrical transportation systems.
