Özet

Fixed bed pyrolysis experiments have been conducted on waste cotton scrap materials for various process parameters. The effects of pyrolysis temperatures, well-swept gas atmospheres (N-2), and heating rates on the pyrolysis process have been investigated. For this purpose, low (700 cm(3)/min) and high (3,900 cm(3)/min) N-2 flow rates, low (5 degrees C/min) and high (10 degrees C/min) heating rates were performed for the reaction temperatures of 250 degrees C, 350 degrees C, 500 degrees C, 600 degrees C, 700 degrees C, 800 degrees C, and 900 degrees C. The maximum liquid yield (34.93%) was obtained in 3,900 cm(3)/min N-2 flow rates at 10 degrees C/min heating rate at 500 degrees C. The maximum gas yield (60.92%) was obtained in 3,900 cm(3)/min N-2 flow rates at 5 degrees C/min heating rate at 900 degrees C.
