| dc.description.abstract | Magnesium is a metal which can be used in lots of different sectors with its suitable characteristics, especially is preferred by automotive and aerospace industries because of its light weight properties. Die casting of Mg has become the fastest growing up and the most globally developing section of the magnesium industry. Die casting of magnesium alloys is an ideal process for high capacity production conditions because of its appropriateness for automation systems. In spite of die casting is a precision manufacturing process, there are lots of factors which are effective on the product quality and mechanical properties. These factors consist of the machine and die construction and the process parameters. Wrong selection of the process parameters can cause wrong and bad mechanical propertied castings even they have perfect design features. Additionally, sustainability on final product quality and production systems can only be succeeded by using high quality metrological analysis. | en |
