Özet
This study analyzes the energy management and power demand of a high-speed train powered by a hydrogenbattery hybrid system. The train was simulated over a 40-minute route between Bursa and Osmaneli in Turkiye using MATLAB, with the power demand calculated through Davis equations. The energy management algorithm is designed for the battery to charge from regenerative braking energy and assist the fuel cell during high power demand periods. This algorithm successfully reduced the maximum power demand of the train from 9.26 MW to 6.257 MW, thereby decreasing the size of the H2 tank and the number of fuel cell stacks required. The simulation results underscore the importance of an optimized energy management system in enhancing the train's energy efficiency and overall performance.
