The mediating role of cultural intelligence and cognitive flexibility in the relation between effective counselor characteristics and multicultural counseling competencies of counselors in Turkey

Abstract

The study aims to examine the mediating role of cultural intelligence and cognitive flexibility in the relation between effective counselor characteristics and multicultural counseling competencies of counselors in Turkey. The participants consist of 521 counselors. To collect the data, we employed the “Effective Counselor Characteristics Assessment Scale”, “Multicultural Counseling Competencies Scale”, “Cultural Intelligence Scale”, and "Cognitive Flexibility Inventory".
